Electric City Roasting

Electric City Roasting is a specialty coffee roaster that emphasizes quality and sustainability. They offer a wide range of coffee blends, sold both in grocery stores and online, as well as K-cups for single-serve coffee drinkers. Their goal is to provide a premium coffee experience to customers who value ethical sourcing and expertly roasted beans.

Problem:
Electric City Roasting faced a major issue with brand cohesiveness. On grocery store shelves, each coffee blend appeared as if it were from a different brand, which caused confusion for customers and weakened the brand's identity. Additionally, the company was overspending on new bag packaging, costing them thousands of dollars. They also sought to expand their customer base by offering K-cups but lacked an appealing design to capture a new demographic.

Solution:
I developed a cohesive design system that unified the branding of all coffee blends, ensuring that the packaging looked consistent both on store shelves and online. This stronger visual identity enhanced brand recognition and trust. To reduce costs, I sourced custom labels instead of new bag packaging, saving the company thousands of dollars. Furthermore, I created an eye-catching K-cup box design, specifically tailored to appeal to a broader demographic, helping the brand break into a new market segment.
